Design Futurist engaged in climate, society, our future and the future of this planet. I do not see the climate crisis as an isolated event, as a systems thinker I believe that everything is interconnected, what we do today has an effect on our tomorrow. For this reason, I intend to emphasize the importance of what we in foresight call "implications". As designers, as humans, we need to think about the impact - whether positive or negative - of our actions, of our designs and in which area they will unfold. But most importantly, we need to do something about it. I work with people, I facilitate and give space for conversations towards action.
Projects
This is my thesis project for my MDes in Strategic Foresight and Innovation. It is a research project in which I propose a series of participatory scenario and bodystorming workshop/activities to create a change in Mexico City's citizens to work together to combat air pollution as well as the impact it has on climate change.
This is a project in collaboration in which we utilize Experiential Scenario methods to create impact in individuals towards food security in the future.
Food scarcity is tightly connected with climate change, by bringing a plausible scenario to live, the audience is able to grasp what's possible. To live in a world where there are no bananas, coffee and broccoli. Where a corporation has taken over all the crops.
We show an installation of a museum in 2050 showcasing food items that are extinct. This drives people to take action, to look at their habits and how this may be affecting our future, and what to do to shape a better one.
