About our guest

Bianca is a product designer and entrepreneur with a deep interest in the intersection between sustainability and food. As CEO and co-founder of Edge Foods, a biotech startup creating a platform technology to enable cell-based food production, Bianca leads business development and strategy. After receiving a dual degree in Advertising and Food Studies from Syracuse University, she gained experience in every step of the food system - from operating a CSA in Hawaii to baking bread at Zak the Baker, a renowned bakery in Miami, FL. Her dedication to design-problem solving lead her to continue her studies at UC Berkeley, where she focused on UX/UI design. Her subsequent role as lead product designer at Kangaroo Interactive and Norwegian Cruise Line equipped her with the necessary business acumen to then enter the burgeoning industry of alternative proteins.
