Be a part of the first ever Climate Designers summit

FEB 8–19, 2021

Climate Designers Party Program will be a multi-week virtual event created by climate designers for climate designers.

We are currently building out a team of volunteers to deliver the best online experience for designers from all over the world. Help us plan a variety of events; workshops, panels, lectures, networking events, dance parties.

Our goal with Climate Designers Party Program is to inspire and encourage designers from all industries to take climate action in the work they do.

Our dream team

Head of Promotions

Help us get the word out to as many climate designers as possible

  • Establish a timeline of promotion milestones to build buzz before the event

  • Work with Sponsorships / Partnerships team to coordinate any partner announcement opportunities

  • Coordinate release of announcements via the MN community, the Climate Designers newsletter, and social media accounts

Head of Sponsorships / Partnerships

Help us fund this event with cool sponsors & partners

  • Help us design a few sponsorship packages that will be attractive to potential funders

  • Utilize your existing relationships and past experience selling sponsorships to help find sponsors or partners who would like exposure to a curated group of designers interested in climate action in exchange for funding our event

  • Coordinate with volunteer team to meet sponsorship requirements for logos in the appropriate places, sponsor sessions in the event program, verbal mentions during conference sessions, etc.

  • Take care of invoices, contracts, any paperwork needed to ensure all agreements and conditions are met and payments are completed in full

Brand Identity Designer

Design an amazing brand identity for Climate Designers Party Program

  • Design a logo and identity system to use throughout the conference

  • Selecting colors and typography that fits in with existing ClimateDesigners.org website

  • Establish style for graphics to be used in promotional materials, website, session cover slides, intermission slides, sponsorship slides, backgrounds, and optionally any merchandise or shwag we may choose to include

Web & Social Media Manager

Help us establish a solid web & social media presence

  • Coordinate with Program Director to communicate event schedule clearly on website, designed to minimize confusion with a global audience and multiple time zones

  • Coordinate with Program Director for photos of all the speakers

  • Coordinate with Brand Designer to design consistently branded graphics for the website and social media

  • Coordinate with Promotions Manager to design web & social media graphics for all the promotional milestones

Program Director

Help us create amazing programming for the conference!

  • Recruiting speakers, presenters, workshop facilitators representing a diverse, global community, including Black American designers or climate activists and women of color

  • Create a schedule covering a wide variety of time zones, so people in our global community can attend as many events as possible, regardless of their home time zone, with reasonable breaks if any sessions happen back-to-back

    • For example, 8am pacific is 8pm in central Asia, could be a good time for a morning session for US attendees, evening session for attendees in India, potentially overlapping with Europe and the UK as well.

    • Similarly, early evening in the US is early morning of the following day in Australia — be careful to communicate the day/time as clearly as possible to avoid confusions

  • Write short, compelling descriptions for each session that help set expectations and attract the appropriate attendees

  • Coordinate with each speaker on scheduling and ensuring all technical considerations are handled before each session so the program runs smoothly and on schedule

  • Coordinate with sponsorhips / partnerships team, for example in case partner sessions need to be added to the schedule
